Spring Info
Hi JYC Club Kids' Adults!
We just wanted to give you an update on a few things, now that the JYC is operating on a more reliable schedule.
Early Drop Off:
After School Club starts at 4pm on weekdays. Many of our coaches are still in high school, and they don't get out of school until 3:25pm. They hustle over but can't beat your kids there. Going forward, kids who arrive early will be asked if they'd like to grab a snack, and chill in the main area. We'll have simple activities ready for them to do, but the studio won't be open until the coaches arrive. We're doing this because the coaches are finding it hard to get the kids' attention to start the club, if they've already been gaming.
New Clubs:
We'll be adding new clubs in May! These will include:
Pokemon Club
Animation and Art
OBS and Twitch Streaming
Glam Squad
These clubs will be evening or weekend clubs!
Day Camps:
We have day camps through the Easter Break, as well as all summer long. Camps can be booked one day at a time, and are $50/day or pay-what-you-can. These camps help us offset the cost of the free clubs.
Birthdays Parties:
The JYC and our coaches are available for rent for JYC Club kids birthdays!
Drop In:
If you sign up for an after-school club, you'll be guaranteed your spot. We are now open for drop-in as well. Our coaches prefer to work with a minimum of 8 kids, so they'll close drop-in once 8 kids are hanging out with them.
We LOVE your kids! Thank you for supporting the JYC!

Clubs and Masks
February 14, 2022
Thank you to all of our club kids and parents who have been patient while we weathered the last wave. We do have a few changes coming:
1. Masks: Coaches will continue to wear masks at the JYC. We're doing this for several reasons. We don't have a lot of coaches and given that they work in pairs, we can't afford for them to get sick! Also, we know some kids will want to continue to mask and we want to make it as comfortable as possible to do so.
2. Clubs: We will be increasing the capacity of clubs from 4 to 6 in the first week of March. Kids who are already on waiting lists will have priority. We will be moving back to a full Monday through Saturday Schedule as well. If you haven't already joined our app, please do so! It makes signing up easy!
3. Coaches: Coach Jill is no longer with the JYC. Coach A has joined us. You'll still see Coach Zac, Brynn, Ashton, Cole and Emily.

In-person clubs starting again Saturday, January 22nd
January 21, 2022
The JYC will be back to in-person clubs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until further notice.

No DROP IN or YouTube Club Thursday, November 25
November 24, 2021
Jo(e) Social Media and a few JYC kids will be broadcasting the Santa Clause parade on November 25, 2021. The JYC will NOT have Drop In or YouTube Club.

Winter Schedule
November 12, 2021
Our Winter Schedule is active!
We've changed drop-in hours. We're now open after school Monday through Thursday for drop-in from 4 to 7 pm.
We've also added Pokémon Club on Fridays and Saturdays! Check out our free clubs and drop-in by tapping the "read more" button

Sign Up is Now Required for Drop In and Clubs
September 16, 2021
It feels like we're constantly adapting in order to keep the JYC open during the pandemic. We're doing our best to keep our clubs in-person, in the safest way possible! We are prepared to go back online, but geeze louise do we ever not want to do that!
To be sure we are able to meet physical distancing requirements and to protect the mental health of the JYC coaches, we're now requiring sign up for after-school drop in and clubs. It's simple to do here on our website.
Kids who show up without sign up might be turned away if we're already at a capacity of 6. Please don't make us make your kids sad :)

Back to School: 5 Social Media Tips for Parents
September 3, 2021
Back to school often means back to a routine. More structure, but also more chaos. More stress, less sunshine. More pressure, less longboarding on brand new pavement. More time with friends, less time with parents. And those darn phones.
We're going to challenge you to look at device use, this fall.
