Per AHS, COVID-19 Restrictions are in place. Masks are required inside the JYC. We will be following the Restriction Exemption Program. To make this easier for kids we'll be issuing Club Member cards. Kids under 12 wil get one automatically. Kids over 12 will get one when parents provide proof of vaccination (just send us a pic) or medical exemption. Should you choose to provide a negative rapid test within a 72 hour window that's cool too. We will require sign up for all drop in and clubs through our website. This is how we stay open, and we're grateful for your understanding and support.

We hate everything about this. Ultimately, we're staying focused on three things:

1. What protects our team’s mental health and makes it easier for them to come to work (especially the youth coaches)

2. What protects the JYC from having to close our doors or restrict services (whether its due to further pandemic restrictions or an internal COVID breakout amongst kids or staff)

3. What best protects the kids under 12 who love our clubs.

This isn’t political, and it’s not based on whether we believe people should be forced to vaccinate. It’s based on the tools we have available to achieve the priorities we have. Please don't make this hard on the JYC Coaches you meet at the door.

Sign Up is Now Required for Drop In and Clubs

September 16, 2021

It feels like we're constantly adapting in order to keep the JYC open during the pandemic. We're doing our best to keep our clubs in-person, in the safest way possible! We are prepared to go back online, but geeze louise do we ever not want to do that!

To be sure we are able to meet physical distancing requirements and to protect the mental health of the JYC coaches, we're now requiring sign up for after-school drop in and clubs. It's simple to do here on our website.

Kids who show up without sign up might be turned away if we're already at a capacity of 6. Please don't make us make your kids sad :)

Back to School: 5 Social Media Tips for Parents

September 3, 2021

Back to school often means back to a routine. More structure, but also more chaos. More stress, less sunshine. More pressure, less longboarding on brand new pavement. More time with friends, less time with parents. And those darn phones.

We're going to challenge you to look at device use, this fall.
